The Jackson 5 - Walk On/The Love You Save

Published by nickhoorweg at 12:13 pm under Misc., Rock & Roll Edit This

First of all, I’d like to start by thanking my buddy Mike for bringing my attention to this incredible clip! This is the Jackson 5 from 1971, performing a song called ‘Walk On’, which medleys into their hit ‘The Love You Save’, one of my favourites. The groove on ‘Walk On’ is phenomenal! There is a cleaner copy of this performance on YouTube, but it’s cut in two pieces, this one is complete. There is a also another great clip of the song performed live in Paris.

The Jackson 5 must’ve been great to see live back in the day. Even though Michael Jackson is still today a wonderfully gifted and talented artist, when he was 10 years old, black and had a nose he was pretty unbeatable. Amazing to think that the group’s first four singles all went to number one - ‘I Want You Back’, ‘ABC’, ‘I’ll Be There’ and ‘The Love You Save’.

Please enjoy this vintage, classic performance!
